Thursday Morning Scripture (Wk32/2021) – Ephesians 4:17-24

The Christian’s Walk

17 So this I say, and solemnly affirm together with the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the [unbelieving] Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds [and in the foolishness and emptiness of their souls],

18 for their [moral] understanding is darkened and their reasoning is clouded; [they are] alienated and self-banished from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the [willful] ignorance and spiritual blindness that is [deep-seated] within them, because of the hardness and insensitivity of their heart.

19 And they, [the ungodly in their spiritual apathy], having become callous and unfeeling, have given themselves over [as prey] to unbridled sensuality, eagerly craving the practice of every kind of impurity [that their desires may demand].

20 But you did not learn Christ in this way!

21 If in fact you have [really] heard Him and have been taught by Him, just as truth is in Jesus [revealed in His life and personified in Him],

22 that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires,

23 and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude],

24 and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].

I lift my hands in total adoration unto you
You reign on the throne for you are God and God alone
Because of you my cloudy days are gone
I can sing to you this song
I just want to say that I love you more than anything

[Bridge:]
Love me in your arms
You were my shelter from the storm
When all my friends were gone
You were right there all along
I never knew a love like this before, oh
I just want to say that I love you more than anything

[Chorus:]
I love you Jesus
I worship and adore you
Just want to tell you
Lord, I love you more than anything

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk32/2021)

Abba! Father! I awake this morning meditating on Your goodness and I give you all glory, honour and praise. As the sun that You created, shines down on me, I acknowledge that every season or weather condition has its purpose. I give thanks for one more day of sunshine to appreciate, realise and tell others, that it’s ALL within You.

Today, I look into what it means to truly give You glory, honour and praise, that is due to You and Your Name. To give You glory, is to praise and worship You within me and outwardly; to make it known, and understand, exactly what You have done and why You deserve to be lifted up and magnified. To honour You, is to place You high above all things in my life; before my needs and wants, treating You with high respect and admiration. To praise You, is to express my admiration and thanks for ALL You have done. I am only made worthy of what You have done by Your Son Yeshua HaMashiach. Thank You! May everything I see and/or receive today, be only from You; if not for now but in the future. Help me to walk in the path You have set for me, never being sidetracked. Teach me to keep my focus on You, knowing that if I do so, all my needs and wants shall be poured upon me: It is ALL within You. Touch my spirit and draw it closer to Your Spirit, so I will be strengthened for every task before me; giving You absolute glory, honour and praise. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

9 For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

10 You who love the Lord, hate evil; He protects the souls of His godly ones (believers), He rescues them from the hand of the wicked.

11 Light is sown [like seed] for the righteous and illuminates their path, and [irrepressible] joy [is spread] for the upright in heart [who delight in His favor and protection].

12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones [those whose moral and spiritual integrity places them in right standing with God], and praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Psalm 97:9-12 (AMP)

Therefore honor and glorify the Lord in the east [in the region of light], The name of the Lord, the God of Israel [honor His name], In the coastlands and islands of the [Mediterranean] Sea.

Isaiah 24:15 (AMP)

20 Now may the Elohim of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Yeshua, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Yeshua HaMashiach (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Wednesday Morning Scripture (W32/2021) – Ephesians 4:9-16

Unity of the Spirit ctd

9 (Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had previously descended [from the heights of heaven] into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He who descended is the very same as He who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things [that is, the whole universe]).

11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct],

12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church];

13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].

14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit].

15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ.

16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk32/2021)

Abba Father, I come before You this morning with thanksgiving in my heart and enter Your courts with praise. I thank You that Your mercies are new every morning.

Today, I focus on Your regeneration and renewal. The Apostle Paul urges me to be of those who are sanctified and ready for service. As he did and You did, So will I. Help me Lord to keep my focus on High, so I may be found worthy as I realise Your plan and purpose for my life. As I go about my day thinking about Your greatness, I pray that You speak to me. There is no other place that my life and heart could be; I look to You because there is nobody like You. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].

Ephesians 4:24 (AMP)

1 Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.

2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

3 For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service].

Romans 12:2 (AMP)

And as You speak

A hundred billion failures disappear

Where You lost Your life so I could find it here

If You left the grave behind You, so will I

I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done

Every part designed in a work of art called love

If You gladly chose surrender, so will I

I can see Your heart

Eight billion different ways

Every precious one

A child You died to save

If You gave Your life to love them, so will I

Tuesday Morning Scripture (Wk32/2021) – Ephesians 4:1-8

Unity of the Spirit

1 So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation],

2 with all humility [forsaking self-righteousness], and gentleness [maintaining self-control], with patience, bearing with one another in [unselfish] love.

3 Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful].

4 There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]

5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all.

7 Yet grace [God’s undeserved favor] was given to each one of us [not indiscriminately, but in different ways] in proportion to the measure of Christ’s [rich and abundant] gift.

8 Therefore it says,

“When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and He bestowed gifts on men.

Monday Morning Prayer (Wk32/2021)

Abba! Father! The Great I Am! Elohim! Jehovah! Yahweh! YHWH! Yahuah and Yashua! My Father and my God! I come before You giving thanks, praise, glory and honour. I praise You for Who You are, what You have done and what You intend to do.

Today, I choose to dwell on You and Your creation; created just for me. With Your breath I was called into existence. I stand amazed. As Your Word and the lyrics of the song So Will I portrays, I recognise that all of creation stands in Your glory and professes the same. Therefore, so will I. My prayer is, as I seek Your face in all I do, I will always find you; continually being pulled into Your presence. May this week be one where I learn more and more about You. May I choose to worship; acknowledge Your greatness in reverence; and lift you up above all else. All that I ask, I know can only be achieved by my belief and acknowledgement of Yeshua HaMashiach. As You have always done since the beginning of creation, Your death on the cross and then via Your resurrection, do it again within me. Renew and regenerate me; I need and want a refreshing of Your Holy Spirit. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

26 Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.”

Genesis 1:26 (AMP)

If the stars were made to worship, so will I

If the mountains bow in reverence, so will I

If the oceans roar Your greatness, so will I

For if everything exists to lift You high, so will I

If the wind goes where You send it, so will I

If the rocks cry out in silence, so will I

If the sum of all our praises still falls shy

Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Monday Morning Scripture (Wk32/2021) – Genesis 1:1-13

Creation

In the beginning God (Elohim) created [by forming from nothing] the heavens and the earth.

2 The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep [primeval ocean that covered the unformed earth]. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it; and God separated the light [distinguishing it] from the darkness.

5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse [of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below the expanse] from the waters [above the expanse].”

7 And God made the expanse [of sky] and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so [just as He commanded].

8 God called the expanse [of sky] heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

9 Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place [of standing, pooling together], and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.

10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that this was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it.

11 So God said, “Let the earth sprout [tender] vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit according to (limited to, consistent with) their kind, whose seed is in them upon the earth”; and it was so.

12 The earth sprouted and abundantly produced vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, according to their kind; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it.

13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
