Saturday Morning Prayer (Wk39/2021)

Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God.

כ Kaph.

81 My soul languishes and grows weak for Your salvation; I wait for Your word.

82 My eyes fail [with longing, watching] for [the fulfillment of] Your promise,

Saying, “When will You comfort me?”

83 For I have become like a wineskin [blackened and shriveled] in the smoke [in which it hangs], yet I do not forget Your statutes.

84 How many are the days of Your servant [which he must endure]?When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?

85 The arrogant (godless) have dug pits for me, men who do not conform to Your law.

86 All Your commandments are faithful and trustworthy. They have persecuted me with a lie; help me [Lord]!

87 They had almost destroyed me on earth, but as for me, I did not turn away from Your precepts.

88 According to Your steadfast love refresh me and give me life, so that I may keep and obey the testimony of Your mouth.

ל Lamedh.

89 Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable].

90 Your faithfulness continues from generation to generation; You have established the earth, and it stands [securely].

91 They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all things [all parts of the universe] are Your servants.

92 If Your law had not been my delight, then I would have perished in my time of trouble.

93 I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have revived me and given me life.

94 I am Yours, save me [as Your own]; For I have [diligently] sought Your precepts and required them [as my greatest need].

95 The wicked wait for me to destroy me, but I will consider Your testimonies.

96 I have seen that all [human] perfection has its limits [no matter how grand and perfect and noble]; Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].

Psalm 119:81-96 (AMP)

69 The arrogant have forged a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.

70 Their heart is insensitive like fat [their minds are dull and brutal], but I delight in Your law.

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

72 The law from Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Yodh.

73 Your hands have made me and established me; Give me understanding and a teachable heart, that I may learn Your commandments.

74 May those who [reverently] fear You see me and be glad, because I wait for Your word.

75 I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are fair, and that in faithfulness You have disciplined me.

76 O may Your lovingkindness and graciousness comfort me, according to Your word (promise) to Your servant.

77 Let Your compassion come to me that I may live, for Your law is my delight.

78 Let the arrogant be ashamed and humiliated, for they sabotage me with a lie; But I will meditate on Your precepts.

79 May those who fear You [with submissive wonder] turn to me, even those who have known Your testimonies.

80 May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, so that I will not be ashamed.

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk39/2021)

Abba! Father! God of power, might, strength and love, I give You all glory, honour and praise for this day, which has been placed before me. It is Your will that I have been given another 24 hours and I am able to do Your good pleasure; and for that I give You thanks. Your Word tells me that repentance is the pre-requisite to salvation. Therefore, I ask You to cleanse me of all sin and unrighteousness, so I can go about this day boldly and unhindered, as the songwriter says there is no satisfaction without salvation! Lord, have Your way.

Today, I stand in Your presence, letting any barriers I have down, and then locking in Your Holy Spirit which is a barrier to protect me from the manoeuvres of the enemy. I let down the barriers within me, which are to do with doubts, fears, negativity and anything Godless. These only cause me to forget Your power, might, goodness, strength, peace and love. Such love! If I know not love, it is hard to comprehend the love You have for me. I pray that today, You will enter in and let me truly know of that love, so I may fully comprehend, know and feel what has been done for me. It is only then I can be truly effective in my walk with You. It is only through Your peace that I can receive true fullness of joy. No matter what is occurring around me, if I walk in the gospel of peace, all will be well. I ask that You move within me today, so I may speak, think, move and exist within Your plans and not my own. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

‘Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Do you not tremble [in awe] in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree and a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass. Though the waves [of the sea] toss and break, yet they cannot prevail [against the sand ordained to hold them back]; Though the waves and the billows roar, yet they cannot cross over [the barrier]. [Is not such a God to be feared?]

Jeremiah 5:22 (AMP)

“Even now,” says the Lord, “Turn and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance], With fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored];

Joel 2:12 (AMP)

For He Himself is our peace and our bond of unity. He who made both groups[Jews and Gentiles]into one body and broke down the barrier, the dividing wall [of spiritual antagonism between us],

Ephesians 2:14 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMP)

Repentance

With regards to a relationship with God/YHWH, when one repents you make a total 180 degree turn away from sin, wrongdoing and step towards God. It sounds hard but isn’t. We think it’s hard because naturally, as a human being, we may find it hard to accept an apology; depending on what the wrongdoing was and how it impacted us. However, no matter how minor or major our sins are, if we repent, our God Most High will forgive. His Word gives us the picture of our sins being as further from us than the East is from the West. Such love! It is our repentance to Him that really matters. This is not to say that if we do wrong to someone, bringing it to God is all that matters, because we need to think about the harm our non-apology to others affects them. When it comes to a heaven or hell issue, we are to repent to God.

It doesn’t end there. We repent of all in the passed and step out in newness of life. We have been forgiven of the passed but because we are human we will sin again. Therefore, after the initial repentance, and step towards salvation, we deal with sins which occur after that point. This is easier said than done, but do not give up. Let go and let God! Let Him strengthen You, so you will not venture down that road feeling, speaking, acting the way you did previously. Once you have done that you will be able to do a great and mighty work for Him, effectively, because there is much to do; good news to share, souls to reap, but the workers are few. You also need to seek what Your purpose is in this world. It is the way of the world think that if you speak of God that you are a Bible-basher, but that is only one facet of a believer ☺️ We are also a part of making this big-old-world, go round.

YHWH is a mighty God of forgiveness, all we need do is bring it to Him with an earnestness of heart and He will forgive. As He was in the beginning, so He will forever be; He changes not. We give thanks because He is the one true God and there is none like Him.

“They refused to listen and obey, and did not remember Your wondrous acts which You had performed among them; So they stiffened their necks and [in their rebellion] appointed a leader in order to return them to slavery in Egypt. But You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness; And You did not abandon them.

Nehemiah 9:17 (AMP)

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few.
