Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk45/2021) – Ephesians 5:1-14

Be Imitators of God

1 Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];

2 and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

3 But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith].

4 Let there be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse [obscene or vulgar] joking, because such things are not appropriate [for believers]; but instead speak of your thankfulness [to God].

5 For be sure of this: no immoral, impure, or greedy person—for that one is [in effect] an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God [for such a person places a higher value on something other than God].

6 Let no one deceive you with empty arguments [that encourage you to sin], for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience [those who habitually sin].

7 So do not participate or even associate with them [in the rebelliousness of sin].

8 For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [live as those who are native-born to the Light]

9 (for the fruit [the effect, the result] of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth),

10 trying to learn [by experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [and letting your lifestyles be examples of what is most acceptable to Him—your behavior expressing gratitude to God for your salvation].

11 Do not participate in the worthless and unproductive deeds of darkness, but instead expose them [by exemplifying personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character];

12 for it is disgraceful even to mention the things that such people practice in secret.

13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light [of God’s precepts], for [a]it is light that makes everything visible.

14 For this reason He says,

“Awake, sleeper,

And arise from the dead,

And Christ will shine [as dawn] upon you and give you light.”

Ephesians 5:1-14 (AMP)

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – 16.11.21 – Tuesday

You have lamented the division in the land, the barriers that separate those in your cities, your towns, and villages. You are aware of the hate that spews online between factions, and you cringe at the words and attitudes which separate and divide the communities you inhabit. And yet, I long to heal the barriers in your heart towards those I have brought into the family alongside you, your brothers, and your sisters. Before I can work through you, through my people to bring about reconciliation between nations and in nations; before I can remove the lines that divide, the barriers that separate in your land, let me bring healing to your hearts so that you can love your brothers and sisters in Christ as I do.

Will you let me heal the wounds you have received at the hands, and from the mouths, of those within your church family? Will you let me heal your eyes so you can see each other through eyes of love and not judgment and criticism? Will you let me gently remove the barbs and the walls of self-protection, and soften the rough edges, so that I can meld your hearts together? Will you let me mould you into a safe space for me to bring the broken, the lost and the hurting? Will you let me make you into a loving, tight-knit family that reflects the heart of love that exists within our relationship as Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognise that you sent me.

John 17:21 (TPT)

A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 13:34 (NIV)

Activation

Ask God where in your heart there are any barriers to those in your church family, first in your immediate context, in your local congregation and then in the broader context of the global church family.

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk45/2021)

El Hayyay, The God of My Life, I give You all glory, honour and praise. I worship You, this morning, lifting You up and giving thanks for another day, which has been placed before me. I pray that every minute will be used to know You more. In Your Word You reveal to me that You are multi-faceted – I Am that I Am; there is none like You: You cannot be fully explained, You are Mighty, You are Great; There is none like You: You are my Heavenly Father.

Today, knowing what I do, I ask for Your help in every decision to be made. Help me to launch out into the deep. Assist me in taking You at Your Word. Give me blind faith. Your Word tells me that You have never seen the righteous forsaken nor Your seed begging bread. Father God, I thank You that I am righteous and I am covered.

Therefore, may I be enlightened and aware of exactly what it means to be of the ones who are named righteous, to be right standing, so I may ask all of You and know that I shall receive. You have said in Your Word that I should ask and it will be given; seek and will find; knock and it will be given. I stand before You and ask, seek and knock at the door because You are The One Who holds the key to all.

I pray that I will truly see Your goodness in my life, as I choose to rest in You. May I know the full power of my belief in the resurrection of Your Son Jesus Christ. May I take hold of my glorious inheritance. My Father and my God, I fully trust in You.

To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Isaiah 61:3 (AMPC)

18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [b]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [c]saints (God’s people),

19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength

Ephesians 1:18-19 (AMP)

To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Tuesday Morning Scripture (Wk45/2021) – Ephesians 1:13:25

A Living Hope, and a Sure Salvation

13 So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

14 [Live] as obedient children [of God]; do not be conformed to the evil desires which governed you in your ignorance [before you knew the requirements and transforming power of the good news regarding salvation].

15 But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct [be set apart from the world by your godly character and moral courage];

16 because it is written,

“You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy.”

17 If you address as Father, the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in [reverent] fear [of Him] and with profound respect for Him throughout the time of your stay on earth.

18 For you know that you were not redeemed from your useless [spiritually unproductive] way of life inherited [by tradition] from your forefathers with perishable things like silver and gold,

19 but [you were actually purchased] with precious blood, like that of a [sacrificial] lamb unblemished and spotless, the priceless blood of Christ.

20 For He was foreordained (foreknown) before the foundation of the world, but has appeared [publicly] in these last times for your sake

21 and through Him you believe [confidently] in God [the heavenly Father], who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God.

22 Since by your obedience to the truth you have purified yourselves for a sincere love of the believers, [see that you] love one another from the heart [always unselfishly seeking the best for one another],

23 for you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.

24 For,

“All flesh is like grass,

And all its glory like the flower of grass.

The grass withers

And the flower falls off,

25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

And this is the word [the good news of salvation] which was preached to you.

Ephesians 1:13-25 (AMP)

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – 15.11.21 – Family Restoration

Ask Me for a fresh perspective! I am working in your family. I am calling you to see through the eyes of faith. Don’t give up praying. I am working when you see it and when you don’t. Place your hand in mine and believe: just believe!

Healing, breakthrough, restoration and deliverance are found in My name. I am the God who reconciles and brings unity in purpose. I will restore the years the locusts have eaten, and I am reversing painful situations and bringing peace where there has been no consolation.

Ask me for the keys and solutions. Ask to see how and where I am moving, ask to see My Warrior angels who are being released on assignment with the prayers of the saints. Your prayers are valuable and vital.

While He was still speaking, some people came from the synagogue official’s house, saying [to Jairus], “Your daughter has died; why bother the Teacher any longer?” Overhearing what was being said, Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; only keep on believing [in Me and my power].”

Mark 5:35-36 (AMP)

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…

Joel 2:25 (NKJV)

Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.

Psalm 103:20 (NKJV)
