Monday Morning Prayer (WK47/2021)

Abba! Father, I awake this morning, giving thanks for a brand new day and a brand new week. You didn’t have to do it, so I lift You up giving You all glory, honour and praise. Forgive me of all sins, whether they be of thoughts, words or deeds and anoint me with the ample portion of wisdom, knowledge and understanding I will need for this day

Today, I recognise that in Your presence is where I belong. I invite Your Holy Spirit, which is a precious gift sent to Your people as a guide, protector, strength, light and so much more. It is all in the Light, which is Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, lead me continually towards The Light. May there be no darkness within me, but assist me as I remain open and ready to receive from only You. Supply every one of my needs, because everything about me belongs to You; all that I am or could be, is to be found in You. Direct my path. Help me as I am faced with the busyness of the day, so I will be able to spend time with You, for You are an Ever-present God. I place myself under subjection to You, my life is in Your hands. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

For He (the Father) has put all things in subjection under His (Christ’s) feet. But when He says, “All things have been put in subjection [under Christ],” it is clear that He (the Father) who put all things in subjection to Him (Christ) is excepted [since the Father is not in subjection to His own Son].

1 Corinthians 15:27 (AMP)

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Monday Morning Scripture (Wk47/2021) – Psalm 27

A Psalm of Fearless Trust in God.

Psalm of David

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life—whom shall I dread?

2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, even in this I am confident.

4 One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord and to meditate in His temple.

5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, in His tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious and compassionate to me and answer me.

8 When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].”

9 Do not hide Your face from me, do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not abandon me nor leave me, O God of my salvation!

10 Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies [who lie in wait].

12 Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have come against me; they breathe out violence.

13 I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

14 Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

Psalm 27:1-14 (AMP)

Sunday Morning Prayer (Wk46/2021) – Psalm 6

Prayer for Mercy in Time of Trouble.

To the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, set [possibly] an octave below. A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, do not rebuke or punish me in Your anger, nor discipline me in Your wrath.

2 Have mercy on me and be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am weak (faint, frail); heal me, O Lord, for my bones are dismayed and anguished.

3 My soul [as well as my body] is greatly dismayed. But as for You, O Lord—how long [until You act on my behalf]?

4 Return, O Lord, rescue my soul; save me because of Your [unfailing] steadfast love and mercy.

5 For in death there is no mention of You; in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) who will praise You and give You thanks?

6 I am weary with my groaning; every night I soak my bed with tears, I drench my couch with my weeping.

7 My eye grows dim with grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

8 Depart from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.

9 The Lord has heard my supplication [my plea for grace];The Lord receives my prayer.

10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly horrified; let them turn back, let them suddenly be ashamed [of what they have done].

Psalm 6:1-10 (AMP)

Saturday Morning Scripture (Wk46/2021) – Psalm 5

Prayer for Protection from the Wicked.

To the Chief Musician; on wind instruments. A Psalm of David.

1 Listen to my words, O Lord, consider my groaning and sighing.

2 Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray.

3 In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; no evil [person] dwells with You.

5 The boastful and the arrogant will not stand in Your sight; You hate all who do evil.

6 You destroy those who tell lies; The Lord detests and rejects the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7 But as for me, I will enter Your house through the abundance of Your steadfast love and tender mercy; at Your holy temple I will bow [obediently] in reverence for You.

8 O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight (direct, right) before me.

9 For there is nothing trustworthy or reliable or truthful in what they say; their heart is destruction [just a treacherous chasm, a yawning gulf of lies]. Their throat is an open grave; they [glibly] flatter with their [silken] tongue.

10 Hold them guilty, O God; Let them fall by their own designs and councils! Cast them out because of the abundance of their transgressions, for they are mutinous and have rebelled against You.

11 But let all who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; because You cover and shelter them, let those who love Your name be joyful and exult in You.

12 For You, O Lord, bless the righteous man [the one who is in right standing with You]; You surround him with favor as with a shield.

Psalm 5:1-12 (AMP)

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – 26.11.21 – Watch And Wait

Do you hear it? Do you perceive it? It is the sound of My call and the sound of My heart. Come closer, lean in. Wait on Me a while. I am calling you to come and carry My heart, longings, desire, and yearnings in intercession. I will renew you with the breath of My Spirit. Be awake, be alert, be watching. Allow the fire of My passion to burn within you. Wake up! I am calling you to be stewards of My Kairos timings, and you must be awake and alert to catch the breath of My Spirit, to release My Kingdom in the earth.

These are days of accelerated change. Who will step out of the busyness of routine and away from the noise of the world to listen and partner with the still small voice of power and might? Step into the sound of the Kingdom!

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?

Matthew 26:40 (NIV)

This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:9-10 (NIV)

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire and after the fire a still small voice.
