Abba Father, today I acknowledge the world around me. You have created this world and everything contained in it. If it was not for Your love and Your kindness, I would not even be called into being. I am because You Are!

In the beginning the earth was formless, empty and dark. Your Spirit hovered over its surface and with Your voice summoned the light into existence. It caused separation between the light and dark. The same has been done with me. You have brought me out of the darkness and into the light.

The earth is Yours LORD and everything within it! Therefore, I need not fear. You have my back! No evil shall befall me! I just need to trust You!

Abba Father, it’s a brand new day and I thank You for carrying me through to see it. I thank You for where You’ve brought me from; where You’ve brought me to; and where I am going. I thank You that because of who You are, I can realise You as The Mighty God, my God…I can acknowledge You as Abba Father.

Thank You that I am a work in progress, You accept me as I am and I am under subjection to You. It is only by accepting all my faults that I can come to You, laid bare. Please have Your way.

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

You LORD, are The Good Shepherd, You tend to me and take care of ALL my needs; if I thirst You give me water; if I hunger You give me food to eat; and if I am cold You provide a way for me to get clothes on my back. You are the Great Waymaker!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Good Shepherd, You provide a resting place for me, away from harm. When I rest in You there is complete tranquility, peace, stillness and calm. You sustain me, I have need for nothing. You lead me beside the still waters but not into the still waters. You will be with me if anything changes; neither leaving nor forsaking me.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

My soul is fully repaired as You lead me in the good, perfect and upright path

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Many times I will come so close to great danger, whether it be physical or spiritual, but there is no need to fear. You, LORD my God, will always be by my side, so I will not even dash my foot against a stone. Your rod and staff will govern, reprimand and pull me closer to You, if I seem to stray.

Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

My life is in Your hands and You are able to mould it and me whatever way You wish to, especially in the presence of my enemies, so I need not fear. My head has been anointed with oil as a symbol of me having died to self and living on in You. No good thing will You withhold from me; I have an abundance of my needs.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever

I shall live a life with an upright heart, filled with mercy, to give and receive. Forever, I will always be, in Your presence.

Abba Father, I just want to give You thanks and magnify Your name. I thank You because as each day goes by I recognise Your voice and understand when You speak. Forgive me of all sins, so that I may walk confidently before You and realise that I only need to ask and I shall receive.

Because I love You, says Your Word, You will rescue me; You will protect me. I will call upon Your name and You will answer me; You will be with me in trouble, You will deliver me and honour me. With long life will You satisfy me and show me Your salvation

As I open my eyes this morning I give thanks that I am able to proclaim that this is the day that my God has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! Abba Father, I will use this day to meditate on You, no matter what comes my way. I ask that You take control of every fibre of my being as I go. Life can be busy, but I pray that You will direct me in every way, so I may be able to think on You and hear You as You speak. Forgive me of all sins, both known and unknown.

Today I wish to present my body as a living and holy sacrifice, so that I may be wholly acceptable to You.

Romans 12:1-2

I ask that I am used as a vessel; fill me full to an overflow. I want my portion due to me today, as I am nothing without You.

2 Corinthians 4:7

Your Word tells me that the things seen are temporary, so I am to remain fixed on things unseen, for they are permanent and exceed all that I can imagine.

Abba Father, I just wish to rest in Your arms today. In Your arms I know that I can be safe and secure. There are many that closed their eyes last night but did not wake to see this morning, for that I have to give You all the praise. The fact that I am awake shows that You are not finished with me yet! No matter what things look like around me, I am a part of Your perfect plan.

Today will be better than yesterday and tomorrow will be greater than today!

Job 8:7

All things that I go through are being managed by You, because I love You and am called for Your purpose.

Before I was even a twinkle in my earthly father’s eye, I was known and predestined by You.

Abba Father, I thank You that I have made it through another week and that Friday is here! I thank You for Your mercy, grace and truth. I thank You that I am able to see more clearly and in seeing more clearly I can feel that I am being drawn closer to You. I just want to thank You from the bottom of my heart. As You have been with me throughout this week, please remain throughout this day.

You are my beginning and end. My day has been prepared before me, in the presence of my enemies. I know that I am protected and everything that comes my way will be directed by You. My day will overflow with blessings that I will be able to recognise and feel.

Psalm 23:5

I pray on this day I will continue to walk with You. I know that I will be protected as I go my way. Please sprinkle my heart free of a guilty conscience as I attempt to remain in Your will and Your way.

Hebrews 10:22

Your word tells me, because I love You, You will rescue and protect me. All I need to do is call on You, and You will hear.

Abba Father, as I wake this morning I just want to give You all the honour, glory and praise. It’s a brand new morning and I just want to thank You that Your mercies are new each and every morning! No matter what has happened You have said that I can come freely to Your throne of grace and You are faithful and just to forgive.

Cleanse me from anything that may have displeased you, whether it be of thought, word or deed.

It is the former things that cause me to stumble, as my heart looks back. At times I may look back with longing or my mind may look back remembering what I once was. Help me to reach higher heights, as I am not physically weighed down by sin. For You have pulled me out of every situation, both seen and unseen. I just need to stay focused on You.

Whenever I slip and fall, life’s dramas make me feel as though I have been battered to the core, but You are right there to remind me that inwardly I am being renewed moment by moment, day by day. Help me to grab onto my new identity.
