Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk21/2021) – Psalm 139:1-24 (AMP)

God’s Omnipresence and Omniscience.

1 O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.

2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar.

3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

4 Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken], Behold, O Lord, You know it all.

5 You have enclosed me behind and before, and [You have] placed Your hand upon me.

6 Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it.

7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there.

9 If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

10 Even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will take hold of me.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me, and the night will be the only light around me,”

12 Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You, but the night shines as bright as the day; darkness and light are alike to You.

13 For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being formed in secret, and intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were appointed for me, when as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

18 If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.

19 O that You would kill the wicked, O God; Go away from me, therefore, men of bloodshed.

20 For they speak against You wickedly, Your enemies take Your name in vain.

21 Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

22 I hate them with perfect and utmost hatred; They have become my enemies.

23 Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts;

24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

Psalm 139:1-24 (AMP)

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk21/2021)

Abba Father, I place this day before You, giving all glory, honour, thanks and praise. I lift You high above every thing in my mind and in my life. I ask for forgiveness of sins of thoughts, words and deeds and know I can ask with confidence, because I will receive. Therefore, I enter this new day, knowing that it represents a new season; gone are the things of old, all things are made new.

Today, I pray, that I will never be the same again. As I aim to keep my physical and spiritual eyes focused, I realise it is something that can only be attained via You. You have said in Your Word, that it is not by might but by Your Spirit. Therefore, everything I wish to do is not by my own efforts, my own strength, my own will-power, my own planning, my own leadership but by what You have anointed me with and made possible. You have chosen me to do great and mighty things, even though I am not worthy. For that I give You thanks. When others look at me, may they see You. As always, I trust in You.

Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come,

And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1 (AMP)

Then he said to me, “This [continuous supply of oil] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a symbol],’ says the Lord of hosts.

Zechariah 4:6 (AMP)

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Monday Morning Prayer (Wk21/2021)

Abba Father, I come before You giving thanks for a brand new day, at the start of a brand new week. No matter what this morning, day or week places before me, I know that on You I can depend. The weather may change from one hour to the next, but You remain the same: For that I give You praise. Forgive me of all wrongs that have flowed from my lips, brewed in my mind, collected in my thoughts and dwelt in my heart; whether they were intentional or not. Help me, so I may never go down that path again. However, if I do, forgive me and remove all fear and hindrance, so I may continue to do Your will.

Today, my prayer is that I may know YOU and the FULL power of Your resurrection. I don’t want to know what others know about You, or even what You have shown others about You but I want to know You personally, as I have never done before. My soul cries out to You and wants to know You at deeper depths and higher heights. May there be no thing that I do or think that is outside of the remit of Your plans for me. Your Word says that You know the plans You have for me and they are of peace, for my well-being and not ones that will cause me harm. Because of You I have a future and I have a hope. Heal my heart, so I will not focus on the negative but shift my view to what You have placed before me. When I have been hurt, help me to heal others; when I feel sad, give me compassion, so I can touch the broken-hearted. For these blessings for myself and to touch others, I trust in You.

Moses Intercedes

12 Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.’

13 Now therefore, I pray you, if I have found favor in Your sight, let me know Your ways so that I may know You [becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, recognizing and understanding Your ways more clearly] and that I may find grace and favor in Your sight. And consider also, that this nation is Your people.”

14 And the Lord said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest [by bringing you and the people into the promised land].”

Exodus 33:12-14 (AMP)

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.

Isaiah 43:2 (AMP)

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Wednesday Evening Scripture (Wk20/2021) – Psalm 4

Evening Prayer of Trust in God

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have freed me when I was hemmed in and relieved me when I was in distress; Be gracious to me and hear [and respond to] my prayer.

2 O sons of men, how long will my honor and glory be [turned into] shame? How long will you [my enemies] love worthless (vain, futile) things and seek deception and lies? Selah.

3 But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself [and dealt wonderfully with] the godly man [the one of honorable character and moral courage—the one who does right]. The Lord hears and responds when I call to Him.

4 Tremble [with anger or fear], and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed and be still [reflect on your sin and repent of your rebellion]. Selah.

5 Offer righteous sacrifices; Trust [confidently] in the Lord.

6 Many are saying, “Oh, that we might see some good!” Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O Lord.

7 You have put joy in my heart, more than [others know] when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly.

8 In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Psalm 4 (AMP)

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk20/2021)

Abba Father, I come before You acknowledging You as my Saviour; my God; and my King. I give You all glory, honour and praise, and ask for forgiveness of all sins; whether they be of thought, word or deed. I thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. It is only because You have sustained me that I am able to see this morning. HalleluYah! One more day to try again and complete what I have started or start on those things not yet done; help me to realise that, and imprint it on my mind and heart.

Today, I thank You for Your grace and lovingkindness, without which I would have no hope. It is because of Your great compassion that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to prepare the Way. Without faith it is impossible to please You and with it, I am able to do all things and receive all promises written in Your Word. Your Words are promises and they are truth. So today, I ask, that not my will but Your will be done. I take You at every word that has been written; I have been forgiven, as I have requested it; I will be strengthened; I will be equipped; my paths will be made straight and smooth; and where I am weak, You are strong, With confidence I place myself within Your Hands, as You are the Author and Finisher of all things, so I can have faith that no good thing will be withheld from me. My Father and my God, I thank You for all this and more. I trust in You.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.

Joshua 1:8 (AMP)

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Psalm 84:11 (AMP)

5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Take courage, daughter; your [personal trust and confident] faith [in Me] has made you well.” And at once the woman was [completely] healed.

Matthew 9:22 (AMP)

27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, screaming loudly, “Have mercy and compassion on us, Son of David (Messiah)!”

28 When He went into the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe [with a deep, abiding trust] that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith [your trust and confidence in My power and My ability to heal] it will be done to you.”

Matthew 9:27-29 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk20/2021) – Psalm 3

Morning Prayer of Trust in God.

A Psalm of David. When he fled from Absalom his son.

O Lord, how my enemies have increased! Many are rising up against me.

2 Many are saying of me, “There is no help [no salvation] for him in God.” Selah.

3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.

4 With my voice I was crying to the Lord, and He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.

5 I lay down and slept [safely]; I awakened, for the Lord sustains me.

6 I will not be intimidated or afraid of the ten thousands

Who have set themselves against me all around.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.

8 Salvation belongs to the Lord; may Your blessing be upon Your people. Selah.

Psalm 3 (AMP)

Friday Morning Prayer (Wk19/2021)

Abba Father, I awake giving You all glory, honour and praise. I take this moment to ask You for forgiveness of sins of thought, word and deed; seen and unseen; and known and unknown. Your Word tells us we only need to ask and we shall receive. Therefore, I thank You for all answered prayer, as You know the intents of my heart. Great is Your mercy towards me, it is new every morning and for all these things, I give You thanks.

Today, I pull on You as The Source needed for this day. I thank You that I am held in the palm of Your hand; no one and no thing can remove me. At times my spirit is willing but the body is weak; please remain within me because then I know I will not be without. I pray You will enable me to move boldly, with confidence, immoveable and in and with Your strength. It is the only way I will be able to carry out the tasks You have ordained for me. Your Word says that You will neither leave nor forsake me. Help me to hold that in the focus of my mind’s eye, and remain empowered. For Your Word, again, comforts me by saying I have not been given a spirit of fear but one of power, love and a sound mind. Therefore, I trust in You.

22 It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, Because His [tender] compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (Amplified Bible)

17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent; Like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their fortresses and hiding places. They shall turn and come with fear and dread to the Lord our God and they shall be afraid and stand in awe before You [O Lord].

18 Who is a God like You, who forgives wickedness and passes over the rebellious acts of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He [constantly] delights in mercy and lovingkindness.

19 He shall again have compassion on us; He will subdue and tread underfoot our wickedness [destroying sin’s power]. Yes, You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:17-19 (ESV – English Standard Version)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

Hebrews 13:20-21(AMPC)

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk19/2021)

Abba Father, I thank You for this day placed before me and give You all glory, honour and praise. I ask that You forgive me of all sins, whether seen and/or unseen; known and/or unknown; and mental or physical. As I stand before You, I ask that this day will be used for Your glory.

Today, I thank You, in advance, for the guidance needed as I go forward and share the good news. I ask for ways to be opened up both physically and spiritually, so that words spoken will either fall on fallow ground waiting for seeds to be sown, or be a preparation. Let today be the day for harvests to be reaped, and ways prepared for the future. Your Word says that Paul planted, Apollos watered and You gave the increase. I do all I do, by Your grace, Your might and Your power. It is not me that will speak, but You. Whatever stage of the process I am in today, I ask that Your will be done. I trust in You.

23 Thus says the Lord, “Let not the one who is wise and skillful boast in his insight; let not the one who is mighty and powerful boast in his strength; let not the one who is rich boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] abundance;

24 but let the one who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me [and acknowledges Me and honors Me as God and recognizes without any doubt], that I am the Lord who practices lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on the earth, for in these things I delight,” says the Lord.

25 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will punish all who are circumcised [physically] and yet uncircumcised [spiritually]

Jeremiah 9:23-25 (AMP)

6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was causing the growth.

7 So neither is the one who plants nor the one who causes the growth.

8 He who plants and he who waters are one [in importance and esteem, working toward the same purpose]; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9 (AMP)

14 We are not overstepping the limits of our province, as if we did not [legitimately] reach to you, for we were the [very] first to come even as far as you with the good news of Christ.

15 We do not go beyond our proper limit, boasting in the work of other men, but we have the hope that as your faith [in Christ and His divine power] continues to grow, our field among you may be greatly expanded [but still within the limits of our commission],

16 so that we may preach the gospel even in the lands beyond you, but not to boast in work already accomplished in another one’s field of activity.

2 Corinthians 10:14-16 (AMP)
