Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk47/2021) – Psalm 46

God the Refuge of His People.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to soprano voices. A Song.

1 God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas,

3 Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.

5 God is in the midst of her [His city], she will not be moved; God will help her when the morning dawns.

6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He raised His voice, the earth melted.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has brought desolations and wonders on the earth.

9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.

10 “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.

Psalm 46:1-11 (AMP)

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk47/2021)

Abba! Father, I come before You giving glory, honour and thanks. This morning I come before You empty and ask for a filling to an overflow.

Today, I place myself, family, friends, loved ones and this day before You and ask You to have Your way. I pray for those who are not able to speak for themselves and intercede on their behalf. I pray that we may know You and the FULL power of Your resurrection. There are too many times we do not take You at Your Word, so on this day I ask You to have Your way in every conversation, task and situation we come across. I thank You for what You have done, are doing and intend to do, in our lives. There are those who have a loved one, or may be in a situation themselves, where Your Hand is required; provide a healing, correction, guidance and protection. Oftentimes there are no words but I thank You for Your Holy Spirit, which intercedes on our behalf. We thank You, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, the LORD of Lords and the Waymaker; before everything was, You were. When heaven and earth passes away, You and Your Word will remain. I thank You that You are a very constant help in times of trouble. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

4 Then I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity (pride, uselessness); however My justice is with the Lord, and My reward is with My God.”

5 And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him and that Israel might be gathered to Him,—For I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and My God is My strength—

6 He says, “It is too trivial a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel; I will also make You a light to the nations that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Isaiah 49:4-6 (AMP)

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk47/2021)

Elohim Ma’uzzi, The God of my strength, I give You all glory, honour and praise. You are The One from which all blessings flow and I ask for a refreshing for this day; cleanse me mentally, physically and spiritually and make me whole.

Today, I come to You with thanksgiving in my heart; thanksgiving for grace, joy, peace, salvation and Your love. I am thankful that it is not of my own doing but because of Your Son Jesus Christ. When I think of the times that I have fallen, be it because of my thoughts, words and/or deeds; my salvation is still secure. There is no perfect man. The only one there was, is The One Jesus Christ, by whom I am saved. Forgive me of the times that I forget this and make it all about me! I sometimes feel that I am able to do it all by my own strength and doubt myself because of my lack of wisdom but it’s not the way; it’s my faith and trust in The One and the grace and salvation that has been given to me as a free gift. Thank You Jesus! Help me not to become complacent but to always be aware and forever thankful for a gift that no other could give. Again I give You all the glory, all the honour and all the praise. My Father and my God, I fully trust in You.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength ofmy heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 (NIV)

Tuesday Morning Scripture (Wk47/2021) – 2 Peter 3

The Day of the Lord

1 Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.

2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.

18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever!

Amen.

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – 30.11.21 – Come Closer

While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. Luke 24:15 NIV

You have walked with me through your life, but at this time, I am inviting you into a deeper level of companionship, of walking together. I am your companion, the one who walks closely beside you, closer than a brother, but I am inviting you to draw even nearer. There is a new experience of oneness available, of being in union, being ‘joined at the hip’, which means you will know me on a deeper level in the day-to-day. I want you to know me as you walk and talk ‘on your road’. I do not want you to be those that don’t recognise me, those who miss me in the day-to-day, those who compartmentalise me into certain spaces. I want to be your all in all; the near one, in your mouth, in the very breath you take.

This is an invitation into a new depth of openness and vulnerability.

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?

Psalm 139:7 NIV

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book, and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
