Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk47/2021)

Abba! Father, I come before You giving glory, honour and thanks. This morning I come before You empty and ask for a filling to an overflow.

Today, I place myself, family, friends, loved ones and this day before You and ask You to have Your way. I pray for those who are not able to speak for themselves and intercede on their behalf. I pray that we may know You and the FULL power of Your resurrection. There are too many times we do not take You at Your Word, so on this day I ask You to have Your way in every conversation, task and situation we come across. I thank You for what You have done, are doing and intend to do, in our lives. There are those who have a loved one, or maybe in a situation themselves, where Your Hand is required; provide a healing, correction, guidance and protection. Oftentimes there are no words but I thank You for Your Holy Spirit, which intercedes on our behalf. We thank You, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, the LORD of Lords and the Waymaker; before everything was, You were. When heaven and earth passes away, You and Your Word will remain. I thank You that You are a very constant help in times of trouble. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

4 Then I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity (pride, uselessness); however My justice is with the Lord, and My reward is with My God.”

5 And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him and that Israel might be gathered to Him,—For I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and My God is My strength—

6 He says, “It is too trivial a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel; I will also make You a light to the nations that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Isaiah 49:4-6 (AMP)

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11 (AMP)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)
