Standing Out from the Crowd

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

UNIQUE ~ exceptional, extraordinary, limited, occasional, rare, scarce, singular, special, strange, subtle, uncommon, unlikely, unparalleled, unprecedented, unthinkable, unusual and weird.

As of the middle of 2024, the world population reached 8.2 billion people. It is thought that by 2080 it will increase to 10.3 billion, then decrease to 10.2 billion by 2100. Each individual on this planet, earth, has a unique fingerprint.  The stat given for this is 1 in 64 trillion, that two individuals can have the same fingerprints. Even identical twins do not have the same, and they come from the same cells, which have divided. This means that the eventuality of there being 2 people with the same fingerprints is non-existent.

As well as our fingerprints being different from person to person, they are also different on each of the 10 fingers that we have.

Let that sit in your spirit for a moment. Each and every one of us are unique. As our own fingerprints are set apart from each other, there is no one, on this earth, who has the same fingerprints as you!

It was in 1686, that a professor in Italy began to study the intricacies of fingerprints. Marcello Malpighi found that they have similarities with pattern but nothing else. As centuries went by, it was possible to use fingerprints as a form of identification of people at a crime scene.

If our Father has taken the time to individualise each and every one of the excess of 8.2 billion people on this earth, it shows that there is a plan for us all. We weren’t just cloned. We were not made with the thought that one size fits all. Just as our fingerprints are different, so are our thought patterns; our gifts; our abilities; our needs; our wants; and so much more. Too much of the time people like to compartmentalise a culture, race, sex, nation, and the list goes on. If more thought is given to it, there are similarities, but it is a lot deeper than that.

We have all been fearfully and wonderfully made. In the Hebrew translation, fearfully is with great reverence, heart-felt interest, and with respect. Wonderfully is unique and set apart.

Time was taken to make us all unique and set apart. By a Word, the Word was made flesh. By a Word, or His Words, things came into existence. Intricacy is the manner in which our God created the world and us.

The connection we all have is that we all fall under the umbrella of being bought at a price; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we realise this, it should assist us in our worship and living our lives. Do not fear, standing out from the crowd. You have been fearfully and wonderfully.

One of the Bible books that encapsulates this so well, is Psalm 139.

14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was being formed in secret,
And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were appointed for me,
When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

18 If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

Psalm 139:14-18 (AMP)
