Abba Father, this morning I want to glorify and lift You high. Like every other day, I give You honour and praise and magnify Your Name. As I remember Your Son that was sent as a living sacrifice, I want to say thank You! Until death He prayed and was obedient with the assignment He was sent to do. Until death He prayed for me and the sins I would commit both willingly and in error. I ask for forgiveness of all my sins and the strength to learn from mistakes made. I know I can only do this day by day, hour by hour and oftentimes even less than that. You have said in Your Word that You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. You do not lack in faithfulness. I trust in You.
The High Priestly Prayer
When Jesus had spoken these things, He raised His eyes to heaven [in prayer] and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You.
2 Just as You have given Him power and authority over all mankind, [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him [to be His—permanently and forever].
3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.
4 I have glorified You [down here] on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.
5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory and majesty that I had with You before the world existed.John 17:1-6 (AMP)
20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),
21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).
Amen (so be it)Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)
