Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk7/2021)

Almighty Father, I come before You with thanksgiving, honour and praise. I glorify Your Name. Your Word tells me, I love Your Son Jesus Christ because He first loved me. He laid down His life for me whilst I was so unworthy and it is because of my realisation and acceptance, that I am made worthy. I thank You that, as You look down at me, You see the Blood of Your Son and I am considered redeemed; paid for in full. I thank You for the calling and give thanks that everything I do, is evidence of the salvation I have received. On a daily basis I take up my cross and follow You, answering with my whole heart and being. Therefore, my prayer is that I will continually have hope in victory; faith that You will always do what You have promised because You cannot lie; and remember the first and greatest commandment, which is to love You with all my heart, mind and soul.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly. 45 If you do this, you will be children who are truly like your Father in heaven. He lets the sun rise for all people, whether they are good or bad. He sends rain to those who do right and to those who do wrong.

Matthew 5:43-45 (ERV)

And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.’

Matthew 22:39 (ERV)

Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. He used this story to teach them:

Luke 18:1 (ERV)

14 “But I will tell you this: I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which these Jews say is not the right way, and I believe everything that is taught in the Law of Moses and all that is written in the books of the prophets. 15 I have the same hope in God that these Jews have—the hope that all people, good and bad, will be raised from death.16 This is why I always try to do what I believe is right before God and before everyone.

Acts 24:4-16 (ERV)

There was no hope that Abraham would have children, but Abraham believed God and continued to hope. And that is why he became the father of many nations. As God told him, “You will have many descendants.”

Romans 4:18 (ERV)

Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see. God was pleased with the people who lived a long time ago because they had faith like this. Faith helps us understand that God created the whole world by His command. This means that the things we see were made by something that cannot be seen.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (ERV)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, and I made plans like a child. When I became a man, I stopped those childish ways. 12 It is the same with us. Now we see God as if we are looking at a reflection in a mirror. But then, in the future, we will see him right before our eyes. Now I know only a part, but at that time I will know fully, as God has known me. 13 So these three things continue: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:11-13 (ERV)

To You who is able to keep me from falling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to You who is the only God, my Saviour, be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Yeshua The Anointed One, my Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. Jude 1:24-25
