Devotional Prayer – Friday 8th January 2021

Heavenly Father, as I awake this morning I give thanks for the continued love, kindness and mercy that You have revealed to me. I lift my hands to worship You because Your mercies are new every morning. I forget the former things and no longer dwell on the past. No matter how hard life appears to be and what passes my way, imprint on my heart the things I am called to do. Your Word tells me that I am called to be holy, because You are holy. I am called to be blameless by believing in Your Son Yeshua HaMashiach, and being covered by His Blood. I am called to stand on Your promises. I am called to deny myself and lift You up. I am called because of Him who loved me and lay down His life, so that whosoever believes will have eternal life. I press on towards the heavenly prize of my upward call. I am no longer condemned. If ever I felt unworthy, I am made worthy by Him. Many may say that they do not want to live eternally, they cannot see beyond life here on earth, but the opposite is something I do not want to comprehend. Today I seek what my personalised calling is; what I can provide for this hurting world, how can I take away the pain?

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies (dedicating all of yourselves, set apart) as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.

Romans 12:1-2 (AMP)

With this in view, we constantly pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of your calling (to faith) and with (His) power fulfill every desire for goodness, and complete [your] every work of faith,

2 Thessalonians 1:11 (AMP)

…….for He delivered us and saved us and called us with a holy calling (a calling that leads to a consecrated life—a life set apart—a life of purpose), not because of our works (or because of any personal merit—we could do nothing to earn this), but because of His own purpose and grace (His amazing, undeserved favour) which was granted to us in Christ Jesus before the world began (eternal ages ago),

2 Timothy 1:9 (AMP)

To You who is able to keep me from falling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to You who is the only God, my Saviour, be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Yeshua The Anointed One, my Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. Jude 1:24-25
