Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Living in the Light

As children of God, those in fellowship with the Lord, we are called to live in the light. To live in the light means to be honest with ourselves before God. It means not making excuses for our behaviour and attitudes, but instead measuring ourselves against the standard that Jesus Christ has set for us.

Today, we explore the passage from 1 John 1:6-10. Grab your Bible, read through the verses, and allow the Spirit of the Lord to speak to you.

Verses 6-7: If we claim to love and know God, having fellowship with Him, but are not living according to His ways, we are deceiving ourselves and God. In other words, if we are living in sin—whether secretly or openly—we will face God’s judgment. When we are not walking in the light, we are living in darkness, which means living an ungodly life (Galatians 5:20-21), being self-centered, and pursuing personal desires. You cannot truly be called a follower of Christ if you choose to live an ungodly life.

God Is Light

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth;

7 but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

1 John 1:6-7 (AMP)

Walk by the Spirit

20 [a]idolatry, [b]sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies],

21 envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:20-21 (AMP)

Footnotes

[a] Galatians 5:20 Including prostitution, which was often part of pagan ritual.

[b] Galatians 5:20 Including such things as occult practices, witchcraft, worship of evil powers, drug-induced trances.

Take time to sit with the Lord and ask Him to examine your life. Let the words in Matthew 7:21-23 serve as a warning: God is not only looking at your actions but also the fruit your life produces. Jesus calls you to live with integrity, not a double standard. Allow Him to search your heart. He knows your thoughts and motives, and today He offers you grace to repent and turn away from your sinful ways.

A Tree and its Fruit

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’

23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [disregarding My commands].’

Matthew 7:21-23 (AMP)

In verses 8-9 we are promised that if we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just to forgive us. He will cleanse us from all our unrighteousness, and He will remember our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12). However, the key is being honest with ourselves and confessing our sins. Take time to repent for the sins the Holy Spirit has convicted you of. Rest in the assurance that God has forgiven you and will no longer remember them.

God is Light

8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.]

9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].

1 John 1:8-9 (AMP)

A New Covenant

“FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS TOWARD THEIR WICKEDNES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”

Hebrews 8:12 (AMP)

Verse 10 reminds us not to be foolish and think that we are without sin. To do so would make us call God a liar and show that we are not taking His word seriously. We often tend to be quick to forgive ourselves, but we must remember that it is not for us to define what sin is—it is God who determines what is sinful.

God is Light

If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.

1 John 1:10 (AMP)

Jesus set the example by laying down His life and serving others. As followers of Christ, our lives no longer belong to us; Jesus is our Lord. Living in the light means following Jesus’ example in how He lived. Let our lives bring glory to God 24/7, whether we’re in the presence of others or alone.

Standing Out from the Crowd

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

UNIQUE ~ exceptional, extraordinary, limited, occasional, rare, scarce, singular, special, strange, subtle, uncommon, unlikely, unparalleled, unprecedented, unthinkable, unusual and weird.

~~~
As of the middle of 2024, the world population reached 8.2 billion people. It is thought that by 2080 it will increase to 10.3 billion, then decrease to 10.2 billion by 2100. Each individual on this planet, earth, has a unique fingerprint.  The stat given for this is 1 in 64 trillion, that two individuals can have the same fingerprints. Even identical twins do not have the same, and they come from the same cells, which have divided. This means that the eventuality of there being 2 people with the same fingerprints is non-existent.
As well as our fingerprints being different from person to person, they are also different on each of the 10 fingers that we have.
Let that sit in your spirit for a moment. Each and every one of us are unique. As our own fingerprints are set apart from each other, there is no one, on this earth, who has the same fingerprints as you!
It was in 1686, that a professor in Italy began to study the intricacies of fingerprints. Marcello Malpighi found that they have similarities with pattern but nothing else. As centuries went by, it was possible to use fingerprints as a form of identification of people at a crime scene.
If our Father has taken the time to individualise each and every one of the excess of 8.2 billion people on this earth, it shows that there is a plan for us all. We weren’t just cloned. We were not made with the thought that one size fits all. Just as our fingerprints are different, so are our thought patterns; our gifts; our abilities; our needs; our wants; and so much more. Too much of the time people like to compartmentalise a culture, race, sex, nation, and the list goes on. If more thought is given to it, there are similarities, but it is a lot deeper than that.
We have all been fearfully and wonderfully made. In the Hebrew translation, fearfully is with great reverence, heart-felt interest, and with respect. Wonderfully is unique and set apart.
Time was taken to make us all unique and set apart. By a Word, the Word was made flesh. By a Word, or His Words, things came into existence. Intricacy is the manner in which our God created the world and us.
The connection we all have is that we all fall under the umbrella of being bought at a price; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we realise this, it should assist us in our worship and living our lives. Do not fear, standing out from the crowd. You have been fearfully and wonderfully.
One of the Bible books that encapsulates this so well, is Psalm 139.
14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was being formed in secret,
And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were appointed for me,
When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
Psalm 139:14-18 (AMP)
Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Ready and Steady
My child, as you have already understood I have prepared new and exciting things for you ahead. However, I see you hesitating as to how to delve into this new adventure with Me. There is still a vague sting of anxiety in your heart that I invite you to allow Me to pull out as you linger in My presence. Once you’ve done that, just start walking with Me.
Relax. It’s one step at a time and in sync with My timing. Don’t try to figure out how everything will work.
Imagine you are walking on a path in the garden of Eden with your Creator. I’ve got this. I will strengthen you so you can keep moving forward. Ask Me the questions and I will give you the answers. Sometimes it will be precise instructions, other times I will require you to put your foot into the water as I did with Joshua and his people. There will also be moments in which you will have to trust Me, even when I’m silent, because that will be a specific time for growth.
My ways are not your ways, but they will bring you great satisfaction as you co-labour with Me for the expansion of the Kingdom.
Activation:
Sit down with Jesus and ask to see yourself walking with Him. Where are you walking? What details do you see? Ask Jesus about the place you are walking together and what He wants you to know as you ready yourself in this season to follow His leading. Let Jesus strengthen and encourage you.
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
Hebrews 3:4 (AMP)
The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD,
And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].
Psalm 37:23 (AMP)
Thus says the Lord,
“Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths,
Where the good way is; then walk in it,
And you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’
Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Withstand the Test
The Spirit of the Lord says:
Beloved ones, this is a period of timely positioning and My sons and daughters must rise and fully inhabit their identity in Me. As you come forth out of the wilderness as My chosen bride, the tempter will attempt to test you. The need for this testing is so that you will be secure in your kingdom identity. I summon you to partner with My word in assurance as you embrace fully your identity as My beloved son/daughter in whom I am well pleased.
To enable you to do this, I am releasing upon you a new strength of identity; a new solidity of knowing who you are in Me. You will be challenged in these days by emotional instability and uncertainty of who you are due to all that is going on around you. Resist being tipped into the wobbling atmosphere of violence and insecurity. Measure yourself by My standards and be conformed by the renewing of your mind.
As you hear the taunting of the evil one, listen for Holy Spirit’s instructions. Listen to how you are directed to answer such threats and tests. Feel the Holy Spirit’s confidence and respond with new determination. Do not become unhinged by the chaos or lose sight of who you are in Me.
Activation:
Read Matthew 3:17 and then decree aloud over yourself, “God’s voice from heaven calls me His beloved son/daughter. I am His beloved and He is well pleased.” Do this over and over, until you feel yourself partnering with this truth.
and behold, a [a]voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”
Matthew 3:17 (AMP)
Footnotes
[a] Matthew 3:17 This is the first instance recorded in the Gospels of the Father speaking audibly to His Son. Also see Matt 17:5; Mark 1:11; 9:7; Luke 3:22; 9:35; John 12:28 (below).
12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—
13 who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].
John 1:12-13 (AMP)
14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “[a]Abba! Father!”
Footnotes
    Are You FULLY Surrendered to Christ?
    SURRENDER – to yield to the power, control, or possession of another upon compulsion or demand. surrendered the fort. b. : to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another.
    Have you truly fully surrendered yourself to our Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit? Are there things influencing your life, words and thoughts, that are not of God? Are you only partially surrendered?
    Each day is a new beginning. Noone is ever too far gone that they cannot be saved. God’s love, grace and forgiveness for us, is boundless. At any moment in the day, upon waking up or at the end, realise that all you have to do is repent, turn away from your sin, and turn to God. His Hand is not too short that you cannot be saved.
    Reading on from Isaiah 59:2, the Word can actually grip your heart because we see that God knows how unrighteous and far from Him we are.  I know that on first reading it, a fear gripped me, and I realised how unworthy I really WAS. However, it is by my (our) acceptance, belief and faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross, that I (we) have received salvation. We are made worthy by the Blood of the Lamb, which is Jesus Christ.
    God’s covenant with them at the time, and with me and you today, is as follows:-
    As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you [writing the law of God on the heart], and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouths of your [true, spiritual] [a]children, nor from the mouth of your children’s children,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.”
    Salvation by Faith and Not Good Works
    What’s something most people don’t understand?
    Many who are new to the faith, and those that are within it, have issues believing or understanding that, salvation is by faith and not good works. Personally, for themselves, or when they view others they use it as a measuring stick to gage how much of a Christian an individual is. They judge and assume that a person isn’t doing enough to truly be a Christian. However, the Book of Ephesians says the following:-
    8 For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;
    9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].
    Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMP)
    None of us receive salvation by how how frequently or much we follow religious laws, which pertain to ethical and moral codes. It is by our faith in Jesus Christ and the work He done before during and after the cross.
    None of us receive a measure of salvation based on how much we do or don’t do and how often; it is by our belief and faith in the birth of Jesus Christ, His life, death on the cross and eventual resurrection.
    Not one of us can boast because it is not by anything we have done but is all for what He has done!
    It is because we are grateful that, in return, we live our lives reflecting what we have received and trying to  spread the good news, spreading the Gospel, to friends, family and all who will hear.
    Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Time for Great Authority
    The Lord says, “In the days of chaos when gross darkness will cover the earth and man is at a loss for answers, they will cry out for solutions as they seek those who carry clear sight, strategic focus, and steady leadership. I intend to position you to be that. However, this will require your wholehearted submission to My leadership, counsel, and preparation. This means that you must willingly embrace the process.
    In systems and structures designed and governed by human intellect alone, it is common to see untested individuals placed in prominent positions. These people often skip the necessary testing, ultimately resulting in a deficiency of solid, good, and effective leadership.
    However, for My purposes, the front-line positions will be held for those whose lives are entirely yielded to Me – those who have walked in the furnace with Me at their side. Those who have walked through the darkest valleys and shadows without fearing evil or death because My fear dwells within them. They move step by step alongside Me, intentionally listening for and to My voice. Even in the midst of trials, they sing songs of thanksgiving and praise, remembering My name and choosing to glorify Me over their circumstances. These are the ones who I will position and empower with great authority to lead, and they will possess the wisdom and understanding to govern and judge righteously. I will entrust the secrets of deep truths to these pure-hearted ones, as they have proven their faithfulness to My heart and the matters that concern Me. They have not compromised themselves or My Word and they find their delight in the fear of the Lord.”
    Activation:
    Will you allow yourself to be tested so that you can be among the called and the chosen? Just as any trainer will tell you, if your muscles are not sufficiently developed to carry 100 lbs, you will not be able to safely carry 300 lbs without risking harm to yourself and those around you. This process is essential; to carry great weight, you must go through a development process to do so successfully.
    With this in mind, now is a great time to ask the Lord where you have not yet been tested and proven for your revealed calling. When He identifies those areas, ask Him to help you identify scriptures that highlight His promises regarding them. Additionally, reflect on your own life and recall where God has demonstrated His faithfulness in giving you victories. Based on both His written Word and revealed truth, begin to establish yourself in those promises so that when tests come, you will be equipped and prepared.
    For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.”
    Matthew 22:14 (AMP)
    For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!
    The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
    The Spirit of counsel and strength,
    The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the LORD
    And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
    And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
    Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;
    Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Come Out of Babylon
    Come away from the world and its fleeting pleasures. The enemy is speaking loudly, even shouting, with all sorts of things that seem important. But My child, see them for what they truly are: distractions meant to pull your focus away from Me. I am calling you out of the systems of Babylon—its worldviews, priorities, and ways of living.
    I am calling you to step fully into My Kingdom and immerse yourself in it completely. Don’t just dip your toes in or wade ankle-deep. I am calling you into the deep, because I want you to transform the place I’ve put you through demonstrations of My power. This is how you will bring heaven to earth. But you cannot do this if you are not fully separated from the kingdom of this world. Come out of Babylon and its idolatrous ways, and sit in My presence. Let Me fill you with My thoughts and My perspective.
    Don’t you know that I laugh at the enemy’s plans? Nothing surprises Me. Nothing is out of My control. I am the King, the true Ruler of this world.
    So come to Me, My child. Let Me take you to a higher place where you can see what is happening in this moment—in your life, your city, your nation, and even the world—from a new perspective. Let Me show you what I am building in this time and season, and then I ask you to partner with Me. Come, take My hand, and let Me pull you closer to Me.
    Activation:
    Sit with the Lord and ask Him to reveal the areas in your life where you are still influenced by Babylon—the ways of the world. This could be in your viewpoints, where you place your trust, or what and whom you believe, such as beliefs about yourself, world events, or even (social) media. Then, ask Him to give you a new perspective from His viewpoint. Let Him replace the lies you’ve been believing with His truth and infuse you with the power of His Kingdom.
    Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Rest From Chaos
    I know that you feel the chaos in the world, where every day brings another example of people exploiting others for their own gain. I know that you grow weary from the voices vying for traction and attention as the world celebrates and upholds them. The dramas of culture and the half-truths of the media shout loudly, and you feel overwhelmed and unsure about the call I have placed on your life in the context of such chaos.
    You question how you could possibly make a difference in times such as these. Beloved, trust my voice within you. You know Me, and you hear Me. My Spirit within you is so much greater than anything in the world – find rest in Me. Tune out of the chaos and tune into Me – as we walk together in My ways, your overwhelm will settle into rest. For the paths that I call you along are paved with wisdom and understanding – I have gone before you and made the way. I ask only for your trust, your surrender and your courage to keep moving forward. Do not be distracted by the atmosphere around you, instead find peace in My ways within you.
    Activation:
    Ask Holy Spirit to highlight to you the situations that have been bringing chaos into your life. Perhaps it is the voices that you are listening to, that do not have good intentions – or that have been content to diminish what God wants to do in you and through you. Take time with this, as He may bring to mind some things that you do not expect. Allow Holy Spirit to counsel you through this process.
    Now, stand with Him at a crossroads and ask Him to show you the way to go; the road paved with ancient wisdom and infinite understanding. Ask Him to reveal to you the ways that you can move through the chaos, and instead find rest – this may involve laying down the things or people highlighted to you. He has promised you rest for your soul if you move away from the chaos surrounding you, when you step into Him. Ask Him to show you what it looks like in your life to walk in His good ways, and commit to taking those steps forward today. Declare aloud – ‘Jesus, I leave the chaos behind Me and step forward into your ways. I find rest for my soul in your presence.’
    13 “For from the least of them even to the greatest of them,
    Everyone is greedy for [unfair] gain;
    And from the prophet even to the priest
    Everyone deals deceitfully.
    14 “They have treated superficially the [bloody] broken wound of My people,
    Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
    When there is no peace.
    15 “Were they ashamed because they had committed disgusting and vile things?
    No, they were not at all ashamed;
    They did not even know how to blush [at their idolatry].
    Therefore they will fall among those who fall;
    At the time that I punish them
    They will be overthrown,” says the LORD.
    16 Thus says the LORD,
    “Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths,
    Where the good way is; then walk in it,
    And you will find rest for your souls.
    But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’
    Jeremiah 6:13-16 (AMP)
    Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].
