Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk25/2021) – Hebrews 4:6-11

6 Seeing then that the promise remains over [from past times] for some to enter that rest, and that those who formerly were given the good news about it and the opportunity, failed to appropriate it and did not enter because of disobedience,

7 Again He sets a definite day, [a new] Today, [and gives another opportunity of securing that rest] saying through David after so long a time in the words already quoted, Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts.

8 [This mention of a rest was not a reference to their entering into Canaan.] For if Joshua had given them rest, He [God] would not speak afterward about another day.

9 So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God;

10 For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own.

11 Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].

Tuesday Morning Prayer (Wk25/2021)

Almighty God, I give You all glory, honour and praise and thank You for this new day. As I behold Your goodness and the fact You’ve woken me one more time, I stand willing and ready to do as You ask. Forgive me of all sin, whether it is intentional or unintentional; known or unknown; seen or unseen; and of words, thoughts or deeds.

Today, as I place myself before You, I’m praying for an increase. Increase of Your love, peace, glory, presence, direction and all things that You know I need. I thank You for all answered prayers in the past and all those that are in the process of coming into fruition. I place all my plans, prayers and wishes before You and know that they are marked as things to be done; for You have said in Your Word that all I have to do is ask and I will receive. Therefore, Heavenly Father, whilst I sleep and when awake, I meditate on Your Word and spiritually encamp around the things I have placed before You, asking that You equip me and enlarge my territory. As You have done in the past, are doing now and forever will do, Mighty God, do it again. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

36 “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your help and gentleness make me great.

37 “You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.

38 “I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed (eliminated).

2 Samuel 22:36-38 (AMP)

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would indeed bless me and enlarge my border [property], and that Your hand would be with me, and You would keep me from evil so that it does not hurt me!” And God granted his request.

1 Chronicles 4:10 (AMP)

You enlarge the path beneath me and make my steps secure, So that my feet will not slip.

Psalm 18:36 (AMP

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (so be it).

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Monday Morning Scripture (Wk25/2021) – Hebrews 4:1-5

Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered [today], let us be afraid [to distrust it], lest any of you should think he has come too late and has come short of [reaching] it.

2 For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (waith the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe).

3 For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, in accordance with His declaration that those [who did not believe] should not enter when He said, As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest; and this He said although [His] works had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world.

4 For in a certain place He has said this about the seventh day: And God rested on the seventh day from all His works.

5 And [they forfeited their part in it, for] in this [passage] He said, They shall not enter My rest.

Thursday Morning Prayer (Wk24/2021)

Abba Father, I awake this morning giving You all glory, honour, thanks and praise. I thank You for the brand new day placed before me and ask that You help me to remain sturdy within Your will.

Today, I continue to pray for revelation in Your Word. I pray not only for myself but Your people the world over. Wherever they may be and whatever they may be doing. Your people are called to do great and mighty things within every avenue and establishment on this earth; factories, government, hospitals, schools, universities, retail stores, supermarkets and everywhere else they may be. Give us the guidance, protection and strength we require to do all things, for we are all that You have said we are, and can do all that You have said we can do. We have been created in Your spiritual image and can do all things through You who have strengthened us. I pray that whenever we survey the reflection of our spirits, we may find You looking back at us. There is nothing we face today that You have not prepared us for. My Father and my God, we trust in You.

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Genesis 1:27 (AMP)

and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (AMP)

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

Philippians 3:10 (AMPC)

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Philippians 4:13 (AMP)

Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk24/2021) – 2 Peter 1:1-11

Growth in Christian Virtue

1 Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus Christ, to those who have received and possess [by God’s will] a precious faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

4 For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.

5 For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding),

6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness,

7 and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, [develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit].

8 For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 For whoever lacks these qualities is blind—shortsighted [closing his spiritual eyes to the truth], having become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins.

10 Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin];

11 for in this way entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly provided to you.
