Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk34/2021)

El Elyon, God Most High, I start this day giving You thanks, honour, glory and praise. I ask You for the forgiveness of all my sins of thoughts, words and deeds. I step into this day fresh; brand new; exhilarated; and ready to do Your Will.

Today, I acknowledge You as The Living God and Word by which I stand. I thank You for the life You have given me, without it being offered and without Your calling I would be dead; physically and spiritually. I give You glory, honour and praise because You are worthy of it and so much more. Teach me to live the life worthy of the calling I have received; not just as a Sunday occurrence but one for every day of the week. This morning I offer up my mind, heart and spirit to You, as I carry out each task that requires my thoughts, words and deeds, realising where my help comes from. I thank You that everything before me this day, has been approved by You first; it is seasoned with Your glory. I have decided to live a life, which I hope will be pleasing to You. All I do is by Your strength; without You I am nothing, my existence is of no value. Help me to be reassured of my appearing with You in glory. My Father and my God, I trust in You. It is well.

Put On the New Self

1 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].

3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4 (AMP)

20 Now may the Elohim of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Yeshua, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Yeshua HaMashiach (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Amen (So be it)

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)

Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk34/2021) – 1 Peter 2:4-12

As Living Stones

4 Come to Him [the risen Lord] as to a living Stone which men rejected and threw away, but which is choice and precious in the sight of God.

5 You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.

6 For this is contained in Scripture:

“Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen stone, a precious (honored) Cornerstone,

And he who believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will never be disappointed [in his expectations].”

7 This precious value, then, is for you who believe [in Him as God’s only Son—the Source of salvation]; but for those who disbelieve,

“The [very] stone which the builders rejected has become the chief Cornerstone,”

8 and,

“A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;

for they stumble because they disobey the word [of God], and to this they [who reject Him as Savior] were also appointed.

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

10 Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

11 Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges [those dishonorable desires] that wage war against the soul.

12 Keep your behavior excellent among the [unsaved] Gentiles [conduct yourself honorably, with graciousness and integrity], so that for whatever reason they may slander you as evildoers, yet by observing your good deeds they may [instead come to] glorify God in the day of visitation [when He looks upon them with mercy].

1 Peter 2:4-12 (AMP)

Tuesday Morning Scripture (Wk34/2021) – 1 Peter 2:1-3

As Newborn Babes

1 So put aside every trace of malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander and hateful speech;

2 like newborn babies [you should] long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may be nurtured and grow in respect to salvation [its ultimate fulfillment],

3 if in fact you have [already] tasted the goodness and gracious kindness of the Lord.

1 Peter 2:1-3 (AMP)

Friday Morning Prayer (WK33/2021)

Adonai, my Master, I thank You for carrying me through to the end of this week. I place my life within Your hands and give You all glory and praise. I honour You.

Today, I focus on Your peace and the fact that when I look to You, all is well. There will be war and rumours of war but, Your Word says it is well. The heart of man is desperately wicked but, it is well. Without knowing, I face death every day but, yet still, it is well. You are the Author and Giver of Peace. I cover my personal path and that of my blood family; my spiritual family; my friends; my colleagues; my neighbours; the workers in the local stores; and companies, in the precious Blood of Your Son Yeshua HaMashiach, whether it be mentally, physically or spiritually. The Blood which symbolises life, anointing, authority, deliverance, freedom, protection, strength and perfect peace. All we need is in The Blood, that was shed on Calvary’s Cross, just for me. Without it we are lost and dead. Because of my belief, for I have seen the whole picture from afar (unlike your disciples), I have the victory. My joy will be full and complete, as I ask these things, for it is said in Your Word that if I ask in Your name, it will be given to me. HalleluYah! My Father and my God, whatever the circumstance today, I trust in You.

“Be careful to listen to all these words which I am commanding you, so that it may be well with you and with your children after you forever, because you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 12:28 (AMP)

The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do] from this time forth and forever.

Psalm 121:8 (AMP)

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

John 16:33 (AMP)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

Friday Morning Scripture (Wk33/2021) – John 16:23-33

Prayer Promises

23 In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give you.

24 Until now you have not asked [the Father] for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete.

25 “I have told you these things in figurative language (veiled language, proverbs); the hour is now coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.

26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I am not saying to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf [because it will be unnecessary];

27 for the Father Himself [tenderly] loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from the Father.

28 I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

29 His disciples said, “Ah, now You are speaking plainly to us and not in figures of speech!

30 Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; because of this we believe [without any doubt] that you came from God.”

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now [at last] believe?

32 Take careful notice: an hour is coming, and has arrived, when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, leaving Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

Thursday Morning Prayer (Wk33/2021)

Holy and Righteous Father, I thank You for awaking me this morning, to see another day. I take this morning to glorify, honour and praise You. As per usual, I pray that You will go before me, providing the protection required.

Today, I choose a verse, which is dear to my heart, for me to meditate on You. There are so many available reminding me of Your goodness, kindness, grace and love. Joshua 1:9 says Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (AMP). No matter what I am doing, how busy I get or how difficult tasks crossing my path may be; You are with me wherever I may go. As I see events of this world, spoken of within Your Manual for Life, unravel, Most High God, I look to You. Your Word tells me, You will never leave nor forsake me. As You were with Moses You will also be with me! What better shield do I require. I thank You for being concerned for every piece of Your creation; be it large or small, loud or silent. I bring my all to You and know that Your will, will be done. My Father and my God, I trust in You.

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being],

Deuteronomy 10:12 (AMP)

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:8-9 (AMP)

Thursday Morning Scripture (Wk33/2021) – John 16:1-15

Jesus’ Warning

1 “I have told you these things so that you will not stumble or be caught off guard and fall away.

2 They will put you out of the synagogues and make you outcasts. And a time is coming when whoever kills you will think that he is offering service to God.

3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.

4 I have told you these things [now], so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

The Holy Spirit Promised

5 “But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’

6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [and taken complete possession of them].

7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world about [the guilt of] sin [and the need for a Savior], and about righteousness, and about judgment:

9 about sin [and the true nature of it], because they do not believe in Me[and My message];

10 about righteousness [personal integrity and godly character], because I am going to My Father and you will no longer see Me;

11 about judgment [the certainty of it], because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged and condemned.

12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now.

13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

14 He will glorify and honor Me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you.

15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.

John 16:1-15 (AMP)
