Friday Morning Scripture (Wk38/2021) – Matthew 8:18-27 (AMP)

Discipleship Tested
18 Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to cast off for the other side of the Sea of Galilee.
19 Then [on His way to board the boat] a scribe [who was a respected and authoritative interpreter of the Law] came and said to Him, “Master, I will accompany You [as Your student] wherever You go.”
20 Jesus replied to him, “Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
21 Another of the disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father (collect my inheritance).”
22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me [believing in Me as Master and Teacher], and allow the [spiritually] dead to bury their own dead.”
23 When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a violent storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus was sleeping.
25 And the disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us, we are going to die!”
26 He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was [at once] a great and wonderful calm [a perfect peacefulness].
27 The men wondered in amazement, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

Gospel Song of the Day – That’s When You Bless Me
Thursday Morning Scripture (Wk38/2021) – Genesis 12:1-3

1 Now [in Haran] the Lord had said to Abram,
“Go away from your country,
And from your relatives
And from your father’s house,
To the land which I will show you;
2 And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you [abundantly],
And make your name great (exalted, distinguished);
And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others];
3 And I will bless (do good for, benefit) those who bless you,
And I will curse [that is, subject to My wrath and judgment] the one who curses (despises, dishonors, has contempt for) you.
And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed [in faithful obedience] as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.

Verse of the Day – Trust in Him

Thursday Morning Prayer (Wk38/2021)

Today, I stand on Your promises; what You said in the beginning is the same today, will be tomorrow and remains forevermore. I thank You that, no matter what things look like today, You never change. You still remain on the throne! I pray that You instil in me the truth and fact that nothing can change the course of things, for it is already written and cannot be erased. You are the Author and Finisher of my faith, so need not fear. I may fail daily, but Your love endures forever. I may doubt, but Your love endures forever. I may become weak and feel as though I cannot go on, but Your love endures forever. At times, I may feel alone, but Your peace, presence and Your love, endures forever. Your ears are never deaf to my prayers. You see, hear and know all things, before they come to my knowledge. Therefore, I place my life in Your hands for You to take it under control and equip me for all things, so they may be pertaining to Your will. Heavenly Father, have Your Way. The only proviso to receive Your promised blessings is to believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the redemption and salvation I am able to receive via Him. I thank You that I am a seed of Abraham, so I am blessed. I pray that You will give me continued guidance and strength, so I will hold on to You. Even though I cannot see You, I pray that I will always be able to feel You. If ever I am in a position to not be able to feel You, I pray that I will always remember Your Word, that You will NEVER leave nor forsake me. I cover my family, friends, life, my all, in the divine presence and blessings of Your Son, Jesus Christ. My Father and my God, I trust in You.
2 And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you [abundantly],
And make your name great (exalted, distinguished);
And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others]
3 And I will bless (do good for, benefit) those who bless you,
And I will curse [that is, subject to My wrath and judgment] the one who curses (despises, dishonors, has contempt for) you.
And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed [in faithful obedience] as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.
Genesis 3:2-4 (AMP)
The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning (the prerequisite, the absolute essential, the alphabet) of wisdom; A good understanding and a teachable heart are possessed by all those who do the will of the Lord; His praise endures forever.
Psalm 111:10 (AMP)
But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters].
1 Corinthians 2:14 (AMP)
20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),
21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages).

Wednesday Morning Prayer (Wk38/2021)

Righteous Father, I awake this morning to give You glory, honour, thanks and praise. I lift You up and rejoice that I have been given another day to worship, adore and magnify Your Name. Set my feet sturdy and ready as a child of the King, throughout all I do. I anticipate Your presence.
Today, I remain focused on You. Each day, me and my brothers and sisters in Christ, the Messiah, are closer and closer to our redemption drawing near. We know not what the future holds, but what we can be sure of is that our hope is based on nothing less than Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, and His righteousness. Draw us closer to You, like never before. Keep our minds, hearts and spirits in tune with what is going on in the natural and spiritual realm. I pray that we are covered from head to toe, inside and out; may any openings be sealed. We place this day before You and ask that You go before us. I pray today is the day that Your Holy Spirit will rise up within us, like never before. As we look forward to the day when we shall behold Him, may we set ourselves ready. When we think on You, and go about this day, may we not pray amiss. As there is a switch in the atmosphere, may we be in tune. My Father and my God, we trust in You.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me;
My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge;
My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2 (AMP)
Scene In Heaven
1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”
2 At once I was in [special communication with] the Spirit; and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne.
3 And He who sat there appeared like [the crystalline sparkle of] a jasper stone and [the fiery redness of] a sardius stone, and encircling the throne there was a rainbow that looked like [the color of an] emerald.
4 Twenty-four [other] thrones surrounded the throne; and seated on these thrones were twenty-four elders dressed in white clothing, with crowns of gold on their heads.
