Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Be Strong

Do not throw away your confidence. Don’t return to old battles that you have already won in your life, for such are the hindrances blocking my work in your families, communities and larger regions.

Think of those matters you replay in your mind which I have instructed you to leave at the foot of Jesus’ cross. Let go of previous successes as well as what you see as failures. I am new every morning.

I have great things for you to mature into, and the message given to Joshua to drive out the enemies before Israel, also applies to you. Be strong in your hearts and minds to crucify those things that you know hold you back.

Be in my timing for your life through obedience. I never go backwards.

Do not be fooled, my people, when the ‘thorns in your side’ keep hurting. Recognise old battles and once and forever put them behind you.

Application: Ask God where he wants you to change the repeat message in your heart and mind of the past. Seek His healing for the things affecting these memories. Do not leave it there, instead, ask Him for a strategy to grow into maturity

“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your side. They will give you trouble in the land where you live.”

Numbers 33:55 (NIVUK)

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.”

Hebrews 10:35 (NIVUK)

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – Heart Condition

The Lord asks, “Do you have a heart condition? Give me an honest appraisal. What is the state of your heart? You must guard your heart. Your future depends on it.

Become skilled in noticing how you respond to things and how I respond to similar things. We are not the same.

I am your teacher and it is I who will show you how to be pure in heart. I build steadfastness and security in you, deep inside, so you only have the fear of me and not the fear of bad news. I monitor the hearts of all and know all. Don’t hide any longer from my Spirit. Face me, heart to heart, and let me take each heartache that troubles you; I am the only true healer.

Come, rest a while, and ask me where your heart needs reconditioning and strengthening.”

‘Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.’

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)

‘They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fears; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.’

Psalms 112:7-8 (NIVUK)

Wednesday Morning Scripture (Wk14/2022) – Psalm 112

Prosperity of the One Who Fears The LORD

1 Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who fears the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience], who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

4 Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous (upright—in right standing with God).

5 It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; he conducts his affairs with justice.

6 He will never be shaken; the righteous will be remembered forever.

7 He will not fear bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting [confidently relying on and believing] in the Lord.

8 His heart is upheld, he will not fear while he looks [with satisfaction] on his adversaries.

9 He has given freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted in honor.

10 The wicked will see it and be angered, he will gnash his teeth and melt away [in despair and death]; the desire of the wicked will perish and come to nothing.

Psalm 112:1-10 (AMP)

Tuesday Morning Scripture (Wk14/2022) – Isaiah 64

Prayers for Mercy and Help

Oh, that You would tear open the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at Your presence—

2 As [sure as] fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil—to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!

3 When You did awesome and amazing things which we did not expect, You came down [at Sinai]; the mountains quaked at Your presence.

4 For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived, nor has the eye [1]seen a God besides You, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.

5 You meet him who rejoices in doing that which is morally right, Who remembers You in Your ways. Indeed, You were angry, for we sinned; we have long continued in our sins [prolonging Your anger]. And shall we be saved [under such circumstances]?

6 For we all have become like one who is [ceremonially] unclean [like a leper], and all our deeds of righteousness are like filthy rags; we all wither and decay like a leaf, and our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing], like the wind, takes us away [carrying us far from God’s favor, toward destruction].

7 There is no one who calls on Your name, Who awakens and causes himself to take hold of You; for You have hidden Your face from us and have handed us over to the [consuming and destructive] power of our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing].

8 Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand.

9 Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord, do not remember our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] forever. Now look, consider, for we are all Your people.

10 [2]Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

11 Our holy and beautiful house [the temple built by Solomon], where our fathers praised You, has been burned by fire; and all our precious objects are in ruins.

12 Considering these [tragedies], will You restrain Yourself, O Lord [and not help us]? Will You keep silent and humiliate and oppress us beyond measure?

Isaiah 64:1-12 (AMP)

Footnotes

  1. Isaiah 64:4 Or seen, O God, besides You, what He will do…. The ancient rabbis favored this translation or a variation of it, and some suggested that the unexpressed object (what) is wine preserved since the creation, or Eden. They all applied this verse to the future that follows the millennial kingdom, and was mostly a mystery to them. Heaven, or specifically the New Jerusalem, that follows the kingdom was partially revealed to John in Revelation. There is a story in the Talmud that when King Ahasuerus held a great banquet in Susa for seven days (Esth 1:5), he arrogantly asked the Jews if God could do better for them than that. They quoted this line to him in reply, and said that in the time to come if God provided nothing better for them than this feast, they could tell Him that they had already enjoyed such a feast at the table of Ahasuerus.
  2. Isaiah 64:10 After the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in a.d. 70 it became a religious tradition among the rabbis to recite vv 10 and 11 and to rip a tear in their robes whenever they saw the ruins.

Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance – The Potter and the Clay

Do you feel the touch of My hand upon your heart? Are you willing to allow Me to mould and fashion you according to My design and purpose? Are you willing to lay your life down, to give up your rights, and surrender your will to Mine? Will you bow down to worship and give your life as a living sacrifice?

Upon the Potter’s wheel, your life does spin.
Upheld, moved, and contoured; fashioned from within.
Neither rhyme nor reason at times you do perceive,
But in My love and in My wisdom, your shape is Mine to give.

A vessel fit for purpose,
Consecrated, integral and strong.
Brimming with potential,
That you may release My Kingdom sound and song.

Allow the water of My word to wash you, as my Spirit moves upon your life, to fashion and mould you into the design of My will.

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:

2 “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.”

3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel.

4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

5 Then the word of the Lord came to me.

6 He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in My hand, Israel.

Jeremiah 18:1-6 (NIV)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Isaiah 64:8 (NIV)

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

Romans 9:21 (NIV)

Monday Morning Scripture (Wk14/2022) – Isaiah 40

The Greatness of God

1 “Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.

2 “Speak [1]tenderly to Jerusalem, and call out to her, that her time of compulsory service in warfare is finished, that her wickedness has been taken away [since her punishment is sufficient], that she has received from the Lord’s hand double [punishment] for all her sins.”

3 A voice of one is calling out, “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness [remove the obstacles]; Make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God.

4 “Every valley shall be raised, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged places a broad valley.

5 “And the glory and majesty and splendor of the Lord will be revealed, and all humanity shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.”

6 A voice says, “Call out [prophesy].” Then he answered, “What shall I call out?” [The voice answered:] All humanity is [as frail as] grass, and all that makes it attractive [its charm, its loveliness] is [momentary] like the flower of the field.

7 The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; most certainly [all] the people are [like] grass.

8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.

9 O Zion, herald of good news, get up on a high mountain. O Jerusalem, herald of good news, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, do not fear; say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”

10 Listen carefully, the Lord God will come with might, and His arm will rule for Him. Most certainly His reward is with Him, and His restitution accompanies Him.

11 He will protect His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom; He will gently and carefully lead those nursing their young.

12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and marked off the heavens with a span [of the hand], and calculated the dust of the earth with a [2]measure, and weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in a pair of scales?

13 Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or has taught Him as His counselor?

14 With whom did He consult and who enlightened Him? Who taught Him the path of justice and taught Him knowledge and informed Him of the way of understanding?

15 In fact, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on the scales; now look, He lifts up the islands like fine dust.

16 And [the forests of] Lebanon cannot supply sufficient fuel to start a fire, nor are its wild beasts enough for a burnt offering [worthy of the Lord].

17 All the nations are as nothing before Him, they are regarded by Him as less than nothing and meaningless.

18 To whom then will you liken God? Or with what likeness will you compare Him?

19 As for the cast image (idol), a metalworker casts it, a goldsmith overlays it with gold and a silversmith casts its silver chains.

20 He who is too impoverished for such an offering [to give to his god] chooses a tree that will not rot; He seeks out for himself a skillful craftsman to [carve and] set up an idol that will not totter.

21 Do you [who worship idols] not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth [the omnipotence of God and the stupidity of bowing to idols]?

22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; [It is He] who stretches out the heavens like a veil and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

23 It is He who reduces dignitaries to nothing, Who makes the judges (rulers) of the earth meaningless (useless).

24 Scarcely have they been planted, scarcely have they been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them, and they wither, and a strong wind carries them away like stubble.

25 “To whom then will you compare Me that I would be his equal?” says the Holy One.

26 Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these heavenly bodies, The One who brings out their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one is missing.

27 Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become tired or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.

29 He gives strength to the weary, and to him who has no might He increases power.

30 Even youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly,

31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.
