My child, I know the unease you are feeling about areas of life that feel out of control and unpredictable. You sense the call to step out, but also feel the ground moving beneath your feet as you transition, causing you to feel destabilised and off balance.
Consider the Sea of Galilee; a large and powerful body of water. To the disciples it represented so much more than that: livelihood, resource, food, travel and transport. But it’s also subject to sudden and violent storms; whilst relying on it, the disciples’ lives would also be at the mercy of it.
During one such storm, Jesus Christ walked out upon the water to meet the disciples in the centre of the storm, but their fear paralysed them and they did not recognise Him. Do not let fear take such a hold of you, that you do not recognise My hand upon your life. When Jesus walked on the water, He demonstrated His authority over the storm, but also over the lake. This powerful force that the disciples’ lives were at the mercy of, was now under the authority of Jesus Christ.
The disciples would never again be defenceless against the lake for these things – for they found their security in the one who has authority over them all. How much more authority then do you have, through Jesus Christ? In Me, you have the authority to overcome the enemy and his attempts to destabilise you – you have the authority to stand and to declare peace and stability in transition. Rise up, stand firm and take authority.
Activation:-
Sit with Holy Spirit and ask Him to bring to mind the areas of your life that feel destabilised and off balance. Repent of any times that you have partnered with fear, and ask Holy Spirit to show you the ways in which He has been working that you have missed. Picture yourself physically positioned over the unstable areas of your life, just as Jesus positioned himself over the waters. Declare that in Jesus’ name, they come into alignment with God’s will in your life, and under the authority that you have been given through Him.
49 But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost, and cried out [in horror];
50 for they all saw Him and were shaken and terrified. But He immediately spoke with them and said, “Take courage! It is I (I AM)! Stop being afraid.”
Mark 6:49-50 (AMP)
Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on [a]serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.
Luke 10:19 (AMP)
