Take up your weapon, Church. As My Word says, ‘For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart’. Let the Word sift you and teach you of what pleases Me. My Word is the source of encouragement, truth and the plumbline by which you should measure and order your life. Search out the scriptures and let your hearts be strengthened as you rest in the assurity of My Word and My powerful promises. Take up the Sword of the Spirit!
I am looking for those who like Joshua keep the Word of Truth on their lips and in their hearts, for he was told ‘…meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.’
For My words are spirit and life, and some of you have laid down your weapons feeling weak. You do not know how to fight like you once did in a previous season. Return to the Word. It is time to anchor yourselves on the Word of Truth.
If you have put down your sword, find it, dust it off and begin to read. Read and read again, allowing faith to stir in your spirit and the Word to cleanse you. ‘Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God’.
Activation:
Seek the Lord to identify a scripture that relates to an area of your life where you need to be reminded of the Truth and where you are being prompted to take up the Sword of the Spirit once again. Spend time writing out the scripture, practice memorising it, and then speak out this scripture as you pray and contend for breakthrough.
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me void (useless, without result),
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.Isaiah 55:11 (AMP)
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be [a]successful.
