My Child, what do you see when you look at yourself?
People reflect many different things, including, the situations they have faced, the emotions they feel, words that have been spoken to them, the people they spend the most time with and even the environment they are most in.
All these influences can make it harder to see yourself through My eyes. You see, you are dearly loved Children of God, made in My image to carry My glory. In the same way that your image is distorted when you look at yourself in disturbed water, so your perception of your true identity can become unclear, especially if the choices you are making are not in line with My will for you. This is why it is so important to follow Me, so that we can spend quality time together. I will lead you beside still waters, where you can see your true image clearly and I will restore your soul. Here you can hand Me all that holds you back and rest in the knowledge of My love for you.
Activation:
- Take a moment with Holy Spirit and ask Him if there is anything that is affecting how you see yourself. Are there any choices/priorities that need to change, or any words that people have said that you need to stop agreeing with? Ask if there is anything that you need to do differently.
- Prayer to Pray: Dear Father God, please would You help me make any changes I need to so that I can see myself as You do and walk in my God-given identity. I hand to You all that has held me back….(insert any area He has shown you) and I choose now to follow You and agree with how You see me. Today, please lead me beside still waters and restore my soul. Amen
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as [b]by the Spirit of the Lord.
