What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

The majority of what I post on this blog, are things for minds that have a God-focus. However, it can also be for a mind that is not yet that way inclined or searching. I’ve often contemplated changing it, but nothing has come to mind or feels right. Therefore, my aim is to continue as I am, providing comfort and direction to my readers, until (or if) I am told otherwise. We serve a Great God; the maker of Heaven and Earth, who sent His Son to suffer and die for us all (whether we want to believe it or not). There is so much to gain and little to lose, so by the grace of God go I!
Our words start in our mind and if not careful, we will find that we are driven to do or say unthinkable things. The thoughts we have, can eventually leave our minds and enter the physical. God instructed Joshua to meditate on His Word day and night. God is unchanging in His being and in His purpose, so as He directed people then, He directs them now. Therefore, what our aim should be, is to fill our minds with things that will place us on a level, allowing us to obtain all that has been ordained by God.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:8-9 (ESV)
and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (AMP)
The Bible tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). The tongue is a tool that can be used to either tear down or lift up. Many times we may say things in an offhand manner, without realising or even caring about the damage that has or will be caused. We are told to take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)). This is to take control of everything that attempts to take control of us; what we think about others, ourselves and about life. There are those who have issues with their thought patterns and have a negative mindset. Our thoughts can be led by circumstances (abuse (mental, verbal, sexual), bereavement, betrayal, divorce, illness, financial stresses), conversations, thought patterns and hormones (brain chemical imbalance)). We need to take control, and that requires training. By reading and feeding our thoughts we can change to one or more of the mindsets of mental, physical and spiritual abundance, challenge, entrepreneurialship, focus, growth and/or positivity. For example, we can be extremely focused on how devoted we want to be; we can pray for healing or for a loved one to come to know God and the full power of His resurrection. We can place our lives before Him and ask that His will is done. We can create a God-first mindset. Our mindset becomes one where we aim to have a mindset of what God requires of us. These are just a minuscule amount of examples because it is possible to bring everything to Him.
I often refer to the Holy Bible as the Manual for Life, as it assists us in how to physically and spiritually get through our time on this earth. Just as God had instructed Moses, Joshua, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and all the other men and women in the Old and New Testament, we are also left an instruction today, to carry out The Great Commission.
The Great Commision
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated.
17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted [that it was really He].
18 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:16-20 (AMP)
We are called to be the head and not the tail; above and not beneath; strong and not weak; He will dwell within us and bring life and not death; and so much more. Things that are true, honourable, right, pure, commendable and worthy of praise, are what our minds should be set upon (Philippians 4:8). That is to do with what we think of others, situations and ourselves. We can do all this via the Holy Spirit.
12 The Lord will open for you His good treasure house, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.
13 The Lord will make you the head (leader) and not the tail (follower); and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen and pay attention to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I am commanding you today, to observe them carefully.
Deuteronomy 28:12-13 (AMP)
This is all on the proviso that we follow the commandments that are placed within the Holy Bible. You may find it hard or think that it is impossible, but all things are made possible (Matthew 19:25-26) by the death of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ the Anointed One). Hand it all over to Him, and once you receive His Word, within your mind, He will take control of our thoughts and spirit and He will give you the power needed to do all things.
4 “For the sake of Jacob My servant, and of Israel My chosen, I have also called you by your name; I have given you an honorable name though you have not known Me.
5 “I am the Lord, and there is no one else; there is no God except Me. I will embrace and arm you, though you have not known Me,
Isaiah 45:4-5 (AMP)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a[special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 (AMP)
The below encapsulates the power of thoughts beautifully, and the impact they have on us and our lives. If we are to realise this everyday at all times, can you imagine what our lives can become. Take every thought captive and see where God will take us. If we don’t read the Holy Bible, we won’t be aware of all God’s promises to us and have the assurance that Christ provides. People often complain about what the world has become; there is so much hate and evil. The thing is, if you want to see a change, start with the man in the mirror (very apt song by Michael Jackson!). We can be the change that we wish to perceive. That is the change that I hope to see my blog making in this world. It may be small but if it is read and inspires only one person, hopefully it will have a ripple effect; the reader can make changes, read the Word, pass this piece onto someone else and there will be a beautiful chain reaction. Be Blessed x
